About Us
The World Famous Renzo Gracie Academy NYC was founded by Renzo Gracie in the mid 1990s. RGA NYC became a key institution for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the U.S. and has grown into a global network of top-tier academies. Renzo Gracie remains one of the most highly respected living legends in BJJ. Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu DFW was founded in May of 2024 and is the only Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex with many more planned to open in DFW in the near future.

At Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu DFW, our experienced TEAM is the secret to our students’ success. We are proud to have a staff consisting of highly experienced and dedicated instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience to ensure the growth of all students from kids to teens to adults. Every instructor underwent a very specific qualification process and brings a wealth of unique experience and expertise.
Our team of instructors is led by Professor Greg Hamilton, who began his Jiu Jitsu journey in January 2004, earning his Black Belt in December 2016, and has learned directly from some of the most prominent Gracie Family Legends such as Renzo Gracie, Royce Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Rorion Gracie, Rener Gracie, Ryron Gracie, Jean Jacques Machado, and many other legends as well.
Alongside head instructor Professor Greg Hamilton, head kids instructor Professor Phillip Bulloch, who is Professor Greg’s 1st black belt, is considered to be one of the “Absolute Best” kids instructors not only in Dallas Fort Worth, but in Texas and in Jiu Jitsu in general. Professor Phillip Bulloch has over 27 years of martial arts experience and started his Jiu Jitsu journey over 17 years ago in 2007.
Professor Phillip Bulloch brings an immense amount of experience and expertise to the Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu DFW Academy kids program (i.e., Adults as Well). In addition to teaching all kids legendary Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu & Gracie Self Defense, Professor Phillip Bulloch is also committed to teaching and mentoring all kids to be the best versions of themselves not only during training, but most important of all at home, at school and in everyday life.
Every one of our Professors, Instructors and Coaches at Renzo Gracie DFW are highly qualified and experienced. They have been screened and tested to ensure that they will be teaching all students the most effective and highest levels of BJJ, Striking (Muay Thai), Fitness & Conditioning, and more. Our goal is to provide our students with a life changing experience, an amazing community and environment and a true martial arts family at Renzo Gracie DFW, with the most World Class Elite Training we can deliver no matter if you are just a hobbyist, or have goals to be an elite competitor and fighter proudly representing the Iconic Legendary name and lineage of our leaders Master Renzo Gracie.

Renzo Gracie DFW is absolutely phenomenal. From the moment you step in to train with Professors Greg and Phillip, you feel the welcoming and supportive environment. Professor Greg is truly a world-class instructor. His innovative lapel techniques have given me an incredible edge in my jiu jitsu game - especially when I visit other academies for work travel. He has a remarkable ability to break down complex moves into understandable steps, making sure you not only learn but master them. Equally impressive is Professor Phillip, who is a phenomenal kids' jiu jitsu instructor.
